Getting To Know International Artist Gabbi Music

  • What drew you to the music industry?

  • I have been doing music whole my life. I started to play violin when I was 4 years old and music became a big part of my life since then.

  • Who are you inspired by?

  • I prefer to say what, cause I feel that I have so much to say and express. That’s kind of my own feeling to write, play and sing my emotions out. Of course many artists are good example, but I want to do my own thing.

  • Please explain your creative process
  • I start with lyrics, just writing down feelings, emotions, things that I see around me, then I arrange chords and the melody is the last part. Sometimes some melody comes to my mind and everything starts from there. It’s nice to have company when creating something new so we can share feelings and make everything working great.

  • What’s an average day like for you?

  • Well just now I’m working as a teacher in elementary school so big part of my day goes there. As a single parent I have also many other responsibilities, but music is always my passion, so I try to sing, play and create as much as possible.

  • Is there a hidden meaning in any of your music?

  • Well in some songs you can find lyrics that tell the story where could be hidden some things for certain people. They’ll know those signs. 😉

  • Do you collaborate with others? What is that process?

  • Yes of course, that’s very big part of the process, you’ll get new ideas or improvements that you maybe didn’t notice by yourself. The process depends about the situation and is different every time.

  • Please discuss how you interact with and respond to fans

  • Social media is a very important way to get in touch with people. I get many messages on Instagram and Facebook and try to answer them all. Also people come to talk to me in the street or after gigs.

  • What is your favorite part about this line of work? Your least favorite? Why?

  • I love all of this <3 Sometimes when work is in the middle and I don’t get in done, it bothers me. Just then collaboration with other musicians is very important.

  • Have you ever dealt with performance anxiety?

  • Oh yes, many times. But I think it’s part of the process. You get adrenaline and then you have the right drive to do your best at the stage.

  • Tell me about your favorite performance venues

  • I like quite small places where audience is close. The feeling is really intimate and you can sense people’s reactions very well.

  • What advice would you have for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps?

  • Find your passion and then practice, practice and practice. Collaborate with other musicians and follow your heart. Don’t you never ever give up on you dreams! Love you all!
